Six Months = Unbelievable (Part 1)

How can time move so slow when you're a kid but so fast when you're an adult? It doesn't make sense to me.

It doesn't make sense that my Kynnedy is 7 days away from being HALF a YEAR old. We were at the hospital just yesterday right?? We were just telling our families we were pregnant last week, right???

It doesn't make sense that she can look like me and look like her daddy all at the same time.

It doesn't make sense that she is actually a human child. (that sounds weird but it's true..for me anyway).

It doesn't make sense when people call me a mom. It still sounds weird to me.

It doesn't make sense that I've already had to clean out her closet and drawers of outgrown clothes 3 times.

What does make sense? She's mine and I love her.

5 Months and counting

Kynnedy, you have grown and changed so much in a short amount of time.

In the first few weeks, you were pulling yourself up into sitting positions, but you couldn't seem to stay there. By New Year's Eve, you sat up unassisted for the first time!

You outgrew the bassinet because you would pull yourself up in it to look at the dogs over the edge.

Your hair is growing longer and getting more and more of it.

You make this humming noise that is so funny to watch. I think it must feel funny on your lips. Then you started "talking" saying "ya ya ya ya", mainly when you were tired or trying to be funny. Then you sometimes get on a gurgling/laughing kick that lasts until you tire out, which is also funny.

You love your dogs, Chloe and Roxy. They sniff you all over and try to lick your hands and face and you think it's the funniest thing ever. You giggle and smile and look to Daddy to make sure you're still ok.

We tried to give you rice cereal, but you didn't like it at all. Then we tried oatmeal, you kind of liked it, but not for very long.

You grabbed anything and everything that was anywhere near you, and attempted/managed to get it in your mouth.

You celebrated your first Christmas. You got a bunch of presents from your grandparents and you had lots of fun chewing on bows.

You helped celebrate your great-great Grandma's 101st birthday.

You stayed with your first babysitter, outside of family, for the first time.

You got your first picture taken with Santa Claus.
